Shooting Star
You were my trail of a shooting star.
And just like that, when you left
You left an illuminated spot of nothingness.
And whether the dust consumed me,
Or i immersed myself in its existence,
Whether you burned my soul too bright,
Or left me to be dilapidated in my own heat,
Is what still leaves me in vain.
And after all you were just another cluster of dust,
And I was ready to be reduced to it.
And just like that, when you left
You left an illuminated spot of nothingness.
And whether the dust consumed me,
Or i immersed myself in its existence,
Whether you burned my soul too bright,
Or left me to be dilapidated in my own heat,
Is what still leaves me in vain.
And after all you were just another cluster of dust,
And I was ready to be reduced to it.
I love your poems they are divine,
ReplyDeleteThey certainly are no crime against rhyme,
In fact I think they are sublime..
