Things We Don't Talk About

Let's talk about privilege,
That you've inherited down the line.
And the arrogance that you carry
As your sweet pampered child.
It's not about lust,
It's not about hatred,
It's about power and authority,
And your wishful right over it.

Let's talk about us,
Those that you treat no more than puppets.
The bearers of your hollow pride,
That you make us carry in our eyes.
Enraging that you make us feel sorry,
That we have a body at all.
After all we're just girls,
Which is enough reason for you,
To trample us in dirt.

Lets talk about those,
That were the opportunists here.
Never failed to create entertainment,
Out of the ambush we had to bear.
They say the rage is what turns them on.
I wonder to how little they have reduced,
Our cries that they pretend not to hear at all.
