Black

That night..
Or maybe the night before.
My memory lies in a haze.
But I remember the dew drops,
Silver pearls spread across my temples,
On my knuckles till my finger tips.
I remember bubbles,
And glitter splitting through it.
Slow and slower,
Sinking, I see smiling faces.
I remember the breeze,
Brushing through my hair,
Caressing my neck.
And I remember flying,
High in the untamed air.
And then I remember you,
Just a picture of you.
Standing too far, feeling too close.
I know it's just a creation
Of my wired heart.
And then I give in,
Into a deep deep sleep,
A dream within a dream.
And I don't know,
Whether I'll ever wake up,
But just then you hold my hand,
And it all turns black...
